this small glove buttonhook is in the Greco/Roman style and is marked with the winged “S” plus STERLING

This all-silver zig-zag designed buttonhook only has the design number 1298 but there is a very faint mark for the winged “S” . It has probably been shortened due to damage and a new hook formed but this has obliterated the usual Shiebler marks. Previously unrecorded out of more than 100 Shiebler designs in the archives, it is a rare survivor
