Item description
this folding penknife type glovehook is one of the
best I have seen. The silver scales on each side are
marked D&F for Deakin & Francis of Birmingham and
the steelwork is by Harrison Bros & Howson of
Sheffield. The date letters are rubbed but it is
likely to be from the mid 1880's. With it is
included a top quality silver handled boothook
hallmarked William Comyns, London 1901. I have
priced it low because the steel shank looks to have
been a replacement.

Item description
this bobbin turned rosewood
handled buttonhook is early 1800's and pre-dates the
fashion for ladies boots, gloves etc. The
workmanship on the steel shank is quite distinctive
and unlike buttonhooks of a later date
